U.S food producers currently dedicate about 4 million acres of land to organic production, which is only 4% of al U.S. farmland.
I know this is true because it was on TV
I paused the Tivo and wrote it down word for word but then forgot to note the name of the program. D’oh!

Yes, but is that a bad thing? We know from the internet (which is just as believable as TV) that organic growing uses more land resources than standard commercial growing. If we did more organic growing wouldn’t it strain our ability to grow enough food at an affordable price for the masses? Organic tomatoes take 640% more land than commercial tomatoes! Our ketchup would be more expensive!
